Tarryn grew up mostly in Savannah, Georgia, by way of Johannesburg, South Africa. She attended the College of Charleston for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Studio Art and Psychology. Tarryn went on to graduate school at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, where she received her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Art Therapy.

A fun fact about Tarryn is that in college, she had the unique opportunity to paint in the Louvre.

She met her husband, Guy, in Boston during graduate school. Tarryn has three kids, two of whom attend Hillel, and a dog named Ziggy. She is very excited to be teaching Art at Hillel!
