I graduated in 2004 from FGCU with a degree in Environmental Studies with an Environmental Education Pathway. I have spent my years teaching grades K-12 informally at zoos, nature centers, and museums. My formal education experience has been spent with students in grades 4-8 in Ohio and Florida.

I adopted my daughter, Iris, when she was 11. As a family, we enjoy hiking, going to festivals,  and trying exotic foods at restaurants. Our favorites are El Mason and Thai 9. My personal hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and bird watching. I am especially interested in birds of prey. I am trained to handle most types of birds and other exotic animals. I have no food allergies. My favorite foods are cupcakes and Reese’s peanut butter cups. I have quite a sweet tooth!
