Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Hillel Academy. There are several ways to get to know our school. Since you are already at our school website, we encourage you to browse the classroom pages (and the related teacher blogs) along with past issues of Hillel Highlights to get a good peek into the daily happenings at school. Also, ask around. Talk to parents of our students or to people who know about our school. If you would like some starter names and contacts, just give us a call and we can help you out.

However, the very best way to get to know us is to arrange for a visit and school tour. We are happy to show you around, have you sit in on some classes, and answer any of your questions. Even if you are not ready to apply, and would like to receive informational materials, please submit an inquiry form. We hope you are interested and welcome your scrutiny.

What Can I Expect?

Tours/Interviews:
Tours take about 30 minutes. We will take you in and around our classrooms and answer your questions. The interview is meant to be a conversation for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you and your hopes for your child. It is a time when you can ask questions and share any concerns you may have. If you would like to combine a tour and interview, plan about 90 minutes for the entire process.

Classroom Visits:
Your child is welcome to spend time in a classroom for a partial or full day.

Screening:
Getting to know your child’s strengths and areas for potential growth are important to us as we plan for the school year ahead. Our screening process includes assessments that give us a snapshot of your child’s abilities in reading, math, and writing. It is also a time when children can ask us questions, talk to us about things they are interested in, or tell us about things they hope they would get to do at Hillel.

Affording Hillel:
$7,750.00 Tuition for all grades. There is a 15% discount for each additional child. (Applicable only for those paying full tuition.)

$3,875.00 Tuition for all grades. This one-time only discounted tuition is for families new to Hillel Academy.

We are committed to keeping the cost to attend Hillel within the reach of any family. Thanks to generous grants from the Jewish Federation of Dayton, and from the support of many individuals, business, and community sponsors, we have been able to do so. Financial aid is available on a limited basis. If interested, please fill out the Parent Financial Statement.
